Heart of Education

is an annual celebration for teachers, staff and administrators in honor of our colleagues who are retiring or leaving the District with 6 or more years of service.

2007 Laurie B. Huse Award

Presented in honor of Vermont NEA's Director of Communications, the BEA is proud to offer $3000 each year to support enrichment activities for financially challenged students

2007 Ellen David Friedman Award

This year, the BEA established a new award to recognize and encourage emerging leaders within the BEA. Ellen's years of organizing with VtNEA will continue to benefit us all, and will be celebrated every year.

BEA Scholarship Award

In honor of three past leaders of the BEA: Ralph Dodge, Ruth Spooner, and Ed Ahern, the BEA is proud to offer yearly scholarships to BHS seniors who wish to pursue education as a career.
